Mazunté, located on Oaxaca’s captivating coastline, offer serene, natural settings perfect for a February photoshoot. Known for their tranquil beaches, rugged landscapes, and rich local culture, this area of the Oaxaca coastline provides a peaceful alternative to busier spots like Puerto Escondido.
February brings mild temperatures, dry weather, and soft, consistent lighting—ideal conditions for capturing the effortless essence of a vacation-inspired collection.
Mazunté’s bohemian charm, with sandy beaches bordered by lush vegetation and dramatic cliffs, creates a beautifully balanced and intimate backdrop.
Nearby there’s La Boquilla, a region renowned for its secluded beach framed by rocky coves, adds an element of untouched natural beauty, offering striking contrasts. Together, these locations deliver a versatile range of settings—from sweeping coastal shots to more intimate, natural vignettes—that perfectly align with the campaign’s aesthetic.
Shoot Logistics
As with all our productions, we allow for a recce day, shoot day and hold day. This ensures we have locations finalised, whilst allowing for flexibility to decide on the best weather and time of day. We can structure the shoot as a single full-day session, or expand it across multiple days, depending on the project scope and requirements.
The team would consist of Jessica Ruscoe (Photography and Creative Direction), Christian Peterson (Producer), photography/production assistant, hair and makeup artist, stylist, and if required, videographer.
Clients are welcome to join in person or virtually, ensuring seamless collaboration throughout the process.
Embracing the tropical essence of the Oaxaca coastline, we aim to capture a diverse range of looks against its stunning natural backdrops. The rugged, uniquely shaped rock formations, swaying palms, colourful, bohemian town, rows of boats and vibrant sunsets provide endless opportunities for striking imagery. The charm of the beachside shacks, plastic chairs, and the laid-back surf village atmosphere adds an authentic touch to this picturesque corner of Mexico.
La Playa/Mazunté Town
To enhance the natural beauty of the coastline and tropical scenery, we’ll incorporate our accommodation as a setting for contextual, vacation-inspired scenes. The location provides an ideal backdrop for product-focused shots while offering a striking contrast to organic elements such as rock formations, sandy shores, and palm trees. It ensures privacy for the shoot, creating an intimate atmosphere that aligns seamlessly with the storytelling and complements the unique landscape and streetscape of Mazunte.
The current accommodation holds rustic, authentic charm, with rich textures and tonal elements that add depth and character, perfectly rounding out the visual narrative of the shoot. However, if a more modern and streamline location is needed, there are a range of beautiful options to explore.
